More About Lara

Lara Koplin has been a decorative painter in Richmond, VA since 1993. Since earning her BFA's in both Crafts and Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University, she has painted countless finishes for commercial and residential clients. She continues to use her knowledge of textile and pattern design to create painted finishes for a variety of surfaces.

Lara's work has been shown in the American Craft Council Craft Show, the National Symphony Decorator's Show House, the American Craft Museum Holiday Show and Sale, and locally at the Visual Art Center of Richmond Craft and Design show. She has participated in six Richmond Symphony Designer Houses, and has work in permanent collections at VCU and Agecroft Hall Museum.

Her work can be seen in local Richmond businesses such as World of Mirth, Look Salon, Plan 9, Bygones Vintage Clothing, BBGB tales for kids, and Phillip Morris International Mgmnt LLC.

Recently Lara has added scenic painting to her repertoire. She's painted sets for productions by Cadence Theatre Co., Childrens Theatre of VA, & Richmond Triangle Players.
